We will be hosting our Semi Annual Sale on Friday 1/27, and Saturday 1/28, from 10:30-6pm!

We will be offering great discounts on special order pieces (which are ALWAYS worth the wait!), and this year… ALL of our upholstered furniture items are available right off the floor at amazing prices!!! All of our upholstery pieces are proudly made in the USA with high quality materials, something we know and value a lot here. We only sell what we would put in our own home… So if you're looking to get your hands on a new piece of furniture for the new year, buying off the floor is the best way!! We also have beautiful lighting available off the floor, one of a kind authentic Turkish Kilim area rugs & runners, special order area rugs at all sizes (including the performance variety) home accessories, and so much more at big discounts up to 50% OFF!!! Special order lead times have been cut in half!!! - it typically only takes around 12-16 weeks to receive your upholstered piece if your chosen fabric or leather is in stock (and most of them are)! Let’s talk tips on how to prepare for the sale:

1. Pop into the shop BEFORE the sale to pre-shop and pick your items! Then simply set your alarms & be the first at the door when the sale starts! This ensures the best chance of getting what you want on sale day!!

2. Always measure your space! Many of our sofas and area rugs are available in different sizes, and we want to make sure you are confident that you get one that fits just right. 

3. Take pictures of your space! We are happy to take a look at any photos you bring - the more you bring, the better we can help you!

4. Think about how you use your space! Which direction do you want to face, how many people do you want to seat comfortably, what type of materials would would best (casual, kid/pet friendly, glamorous, etc.)

5. Bring in those swatches! We have a ton of fabrics to choose from, and making sure the one you love will go well in your space is key. Do you have a pillow from an existing piece you want to coordinate with? Do you have a paint swatch you can bring in, a flooring sample, etc.  

6. Are there any obstacles in the space? Heating vents, south facing windows, floor outlets you want exposed? We can help you work around these, but if we don’t know about them we wont be able to guide you…

Great News! The season of gathering & gift giving has begun here at Brass + Oak! The first week of November is a busy time at the shop. This week marks the true beginning of the holiday season in the retail world, and it's really starting to show around here! As of last week, the halls are decked, the stockings are hung, and we are ready to help you get your home ready for holiday entertaining!

We have lots going on around here lately, and so many exciting things to share! Last month, we transitioned into temporary new store hours! We now offer appointment only, exclusive shopping experiences! Booking an appointment means having expert help picking out fabrics for custom upholstery, area rugs, lighting, and more! You get a dedicated one-on-one experience in our showroom! It’s incredibly easy to book an appointment with us! Just visit the “Contact” tab on our website, or call the shop at (530) 497-5529 to book an appointment as well! Don’t worry, we’re still operating at our normal hours Wednesday-Saturday, so feel free to stop by for those spontaneous shopping days!! 

Along with these fun changes, we’re also adding new product to the shop every Wednesday instead of monthly!! This means all new product in the shop EVERY WEEK!! This mat says it all! The weather is warming up and we’re so excited to see people out and about on Main street! We don’t know about you, but here at Brass + Oak we have Spring redecorating on the brain! We’re ready to add some spring to our homes, inside and out!!

We have some fantastic new finds in the shop to give your space that much needed refresh! Including this stunning circular “Hello You Lovely People” mat that will be hitting the floor soon!

Speaking of easy ways to bring some life into your space.. Our plants deserve a spring glow-up too! We have brand new Tassel Belly Baskets that are sure to make your greenery stand out! Shopping Local This Holiday Season! Brass + Oak Home

Can you believe it? November is already halfway over! It's been a great couple weeks here at the shop, we have everything looking festive and cozy, and we are loving seeing everyone as you start coming out for your holiday shopping! 

Speaking of which, we wanted to mention something that is very important to us as a small business, and that is shopping small & shopping local for the holiday season! Last year was something none of us expected, many of us spent our holidays away from our loved ones and friends, and it was tough! Things certainly aren't completely back to normal yet, but we are getting closer every day, and feeling so excited about a holiday season filled with gatherings & gift giving! 

One thing we know we'll be doing this year since we don't have to do all of our shopping online, is supporting other small businesses like our own. Main Street in Placerville is such a magical place this time of year! We have everything you need here for home decor, entertaining, and thoughtful gift shopping. Many of the shops here (including us!) feature local artists and handmade goods - so when you support us, you support them, and we think that's really important this time of year! 

If you haven't popped into the shop yet this month, you are missing out! We have so many great gift ideas, including a bunch of pre-made gift sets that are sure to wow this year! A lot of folks assume we're mostly just home decor & design, but we can assure you… we are so much more! The shop is filled with items for everyone on your list, from the home chef to the manly man, we have you covered. 

Have you seen our new handmade ceramics from local artist Cristina Arizmendi? They are so unique and beautiful, not to mention functional! Not only do we have her mugs and candle holders, we also have kitchen accessories like sponge holders & spoon rests. Speaking of charcuterie, we're getting ready to host our last big gathering event of the year! Our Holiday Gather & Wrap Event is this coming Thursday, November 18th from 5:30-8pm. We’re so thrilled to be hosting some of our favorite local small businesses for this holiday season. Here in El Dorado County, we are all about community - Main Street or Fairgrounds festivities, local farmers markets, local businesses & restaurants, we’re here for it all. One of the many great things about living in a small town like ours, is that sense of community & the many talented small business owners we have here. Especially after last year, we are so excited to shop small for the holidays this year & help to support our favorite local businesses.

Brass + Oak Home - HOLIDAY GATHER & WRAP EVENT

Great News! The season of gathering & gift giving has begun here at Brass + Oak! The first week of November is a busy time at the shop. This week marks the true beginning of the holiday season around here, and it's really starting to show! The halls are decked, the stockings are hung, and we are ready to help you get your home ready for holiday entertaining!

Now for even more great news, we are hosting another amazing event celebrating local El Dorado County Businesses! We know a lot of you missed out this September, as the tickets sold so quickly, so here's your chance to join us for our last big event of the year!  Tickets go on sale TODAY, November 1st at 10:30am. so set your alarms! Quantities are limited, so don't wait! We'll be hosting with the same wonderful local women business owners as last time!!! The Grazing Grouse, Placerville Flowers on Main, Delfino Family Farms, and Tanya Gallagher Photography!!! Only this event will be BIGGER AND BETTER.

During our last event, Molly of Molly Erin Designs & owner of Brass + Oak, put together a stunning Fall table-scape to kick off the entertaining season, this time around she will be demonstrating festive new ways to wrap gifts for everyone on your list! Melissa from Placerville Flowers on Main will be showing you how to put together a floral arrangement sure to add the perfect holiday touch to any gathering, Kerry from The Grazing Grouse will be demonstrating how to really step up your charcuterie game with a holiday themed board, the lovely ladies from Delfino Family Farms & Edio Vineyards will be helping you choose the perfect wine to serve (or gift!) at every gathering you attend this season, and the entire evening will be captured by the ever talented Tanya Gallagher, of Tanya Gallagher Photography.

We'll also have tons of pre-designed gift sets available to make your holiday gift giving easier than ever, and we're offering gift wrapping for qualified orders, & purchases of any size for a small additional fee. We're pulling out all the stops to make this holiday season the best we can, and we hope you'll join us! Fall has finally arrived in El Dorado County - Who's ready to mix & mingle?

This year has certainly brought us some unexpected twists & turns, but around here we’re really getting back into the swing of things! October is an important month for small businesses like ours. We’ve been busy over here at Brass + Oak, getting the store ready for the holidays. It may seem early to some, but preparation is key for a fun and festive holiday season!

Last month, Brass + Oak hosted our first event since 2020. We waited a long time and took proper precautions, and we are happy to say that the event was a hit! Many familiar faces and new friends too, came out to support us & some of our favorite local small businesses. It was certainly a night to remember! Kerry from The Grazing Grouse demonstrated how to put together a crowd-pleasing charcuterie board, our shop owner & professional interior designer Molly Carter of Molly Erin Designs put together a festive fall table-scape perfect for holiday entertaining, all topped off with a beautiful flower arrangement demonstration by Mel of Placerville Flowers on Main, & amazing wines from Delfino Farms & EDIO Vineyards. The entire evening was captured beautifully by Tanya of Tanya Gallagher Photo! We hope to do more charcuterie events in the near future, & we’d love to see you there!

In the meantime, get excited for another fun event this month! Our Autumn After Hours event is Thursday October 21st, 5-8pm. We will be opening the store for extended hours, so everyone will get a chance to pop in and shop! We will be serving a festive cocktail (from one of our favorite cocktail books available here at Brass + Oak) while you shop late for all your fall essentials. Our shop owner Molly Carter of Molly Erin Designs will be doing a demonstration on how to style your bar cart for holiday entertaining!

It will be a fabulous night of sipping and shopping, but that’s not all! In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a portion of proceeds from the night of the event will go to our local nonprofit, Images of Hope. Images of Hope is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing healing activities to anyone in El Dorado County impacted by cancer.

With the holiday season approaching it’s time to get prepared, and we have all your bar cart necessities here at Brass + Oak! Our high end full bar set, pictured above, has everything you need to get started. It’s full of beautiful brass accessories, including a mixing spoon, a strainer, a jigger, and also a hand-blown seeded mixing glass! Whether you’re looking to get started or give a gift to the bartender in your life, this set is perfect.

We also have a few different carafes that we know you’ll love! Our Seeded Rose Glass Carafe is gorgeous, and it’s made from 100% recycled glass! We also have matching glasses, and the the full set is so dreamy on a bar cart. It also comes in Deep Sage if Rose isn’t your style!

We can’t forget to mention our Tea Towels, pictured below, which come in an assortment of different phrases that are sure to make you giggle! All of these items and more work together seamlessly to create the perfect bar cart. The next step is putting it all together! Don’t forget to come by our Autumn After Hours event on October 21st, 5:30-8pm, to learn straight from an interior designer! Molly of Molly Erin Designs will be teaching all the best tips for styling your bar cart this holiday season, and you won’t want to miss it! We hope to see you there!
